OPTITHERA is proud to announce that its GENOCORDIA test has received a medical device licence from Health Canada. GENOCORDIA is a polygenic risk score test that predicts the risk of cardiovascular and renal complications in people living with type 2 diabetes, from a simple saliva sample.

This licence follows the investigational testing authorization obtained in August 2024. It authorizes GENOCORDIA as a decision-support tool for physicians caring for patients with type 2 diabetes, and marks a key step toward making the test available in clinical practice in Canada.
